How Alali Investment collects, uses and protects personal data.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Who we are

This policy explains how Alali Investment SPC ("Alali", "we") collects and uses personal data through the website alali.om and through the Alali ERP at erp.alali.om, including its connection to QuickBooks Online.

Alali Investment SPC, Commercial Registration 1374162, Bousher, Muscat, Postal Code 328, P.O. Box 2, Sultanate of Oman. Email info@alali.om, phone +968 99532326.

Data we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email, phone, company, subject and message.
  • Alali ERP users: name, work email, phone, role and sign-in records of Alali staff.
  • QuickBooks data: when an Alali administrator connects QuickBooks Online, the ERP reads Alali's own customers, invoices and estimates from Alali's own QuickBooks company.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and the pages you open, kept in server logs for security.

How we use QuickBooks data

The ERP connects to QuickBooks Online through Intuit's official OAuth 2.0 sign-in. We never see or store the QuickBooks password.

The connection is read-only. The ERP copies customers, invoices and estimates into Alali's ERP so Alali's team can quote, invoice and follow up in one place, and so new ERP document numbers continue from QuickBooks. The ERP never creates, changes or deletes anything in QuickBooks.

The access tokens are encrypted on Alali's own server. An administrator can disconnect QuickBooks at any time from the ERP, or from the QuickBooks Apps page. Disconnecting stops all access at once.

Why we use your data

  • To answer your enquiry, quotation or tender request.
  • To run Alali's quotes, invoices, customer records and follow-ups.
  • To keep the website and the ERP secure.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties in Oman.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers who run our systems for us (hosting, email delivery) under confidentiality duties, with Intuit when you choose to connect QuickBooks, or when the law requires it.

Where data is kept and for how long

The website and the ERP run on Alali's own servers. We keep business records for as long as Omani tax and commercial law requires, and contact-form messages for as long as the enquiry needs. Data copied from QuickBooks stays in the ERP as part of Alali's business records after a disconnect, unless Alali deletes it.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage for access tokens, role-based access, and sign-in codes for ERP users. No system is perfectly secure, so we also limit who can see each record.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law of Oman (Royal Decree 6/2022) you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its use. Email info@alali.om and we will answer within 30 days.

Cookies

The website stores only your language choice in your browser. The ERP stores a sign-in session. We do not use advertising cookies.
